I saw a post announcing that an “awakened woman” won’t entertain your ego. You must rise to her level or “vibrate out” of her experience. None of it is personal, apparently. It’s all vibrational.
My first concern was whether there’s a charger included. My second was how someone had managed to get so far beyond ego while placing themselves quite firmly above everyone else.
There’s something reasonable underneath it. We can want respect, set boundaries and leave relationships that hurt us. We don’t have to keep making ourselves available for more of the same.
But there’s a little throne tucked inside this language. One person gets to be awakened; the other gets assigned a lower frequency. Any disagreement can then be filed under “your ego”, which saves an awful lot of listening.
What happens when the supposedly less evolved person has a point? When they say, “You hurt me,” or “That isn’t what I meant”? Does that get heard, or have they just failed another vibration test?
I’d hope self-awareness leaves us some room to say, “I misunderstood you,” or “I owe you an apology.” Those are fairly ordinary sentences, but they can ask quite a lot of us.
Apparently the other person’s ego is the problem. Meanwhile, we’ve overlooked our own. Quite an achievement when you could land a passenger plane on it.
If we somehow come out of every argument as the more enlightened one, it might be worth wondering how we keep awarding ourselves the title.
